Genius Hour-
Your research time in class is done! Now is the time to apply what you have learned. You need to do something. If you are learning a new skill, now is the time to set up and stick to a practice plan. If you are a maker, now is the time to try your first creation, revise and try again. If you are trying to solve a problem, what can you do to help? Remember to document your progress. Student Planning Page
Example: Mrs. Poland decided she wanted to learn how to knit. After researching the tools she would need, the type of yarn to use and various knitting patterns, she is now trying to knit a 5x5 square!

6th & 7th Grade Focus: Preview Electives for Next Year and Genius Hour
1. We are now in the application mode of your Genius Hour project. Be sure to document your progress (video, pictures, logs) so that you can show your growth through the process. Write down whatever your next step is in your planner (ex. take pictures of my first batch of experimental cookies, screenshot the lines of code that I have so far, record my first run through of the song I'm learning). Your next due date is next Thursday!
